Our story began in April 2021 with a dinner party in Boston. For my birthday, my sister Chloe, arranged a dinner party not just for my birthday, but so I could also get to know her now husband, Ralph. She let me know that Ralph’s best friend would be attending the dinner and was hoping I didn’t mind. I was skeptical—until I met Alain. Within five minutes, we both had each other laughing so hard, I nearly spit out my drink.

I left Boston four years ago to fulfill my dream of travel nursing but that evening and Alain left a lasting impression on me.

Fast forward to August 2023, I found myself back in Boston after traveling to Nashville and Tampa. Quite naturally, I reconnected with Alain and we ended up exchanging numbers.

That next day, we talked for about six hours on the phone. Many phone conversations turned into several dinner dates where Alain proved to be the true definition of a gentleman.

Trips to Maine and Newport is where our story really started to grow. We found ourselves completely, quietly, and wonderfully falling in love.

Alain proposed in the very same place where it all began. I said yes through tears and laughter after he asked me three times due to my complete shock!

Now, we’re getting married surrounded by our favorite people and all the chaos and charm that brought us here, together.
